versailles | snapshots

Versailles the city, established in the late 1600s, is about 10 miles south-west of Paris. The Palace of Versailles, or simply Versailles, is a royal château in Versailles in the Île-de-France region of France. There is more to see and do in Versailles than just the palace. There's a market, cute shops and patisseries where you can have a tarte aux framboises.

Random fact: The modern method of tennis scoring is said to have originated in the city of Versailles.
