Brighton, England is just over 50 miles south of London on the coast of Great Britain. A nice place to escape the city for the day. Just beware of giant seagulls whilst eating ice cream and keep in mind that the beach is made entirely of rocks!

The streets of London are full of sandwich board signs with hand lettering. "We have a bloody lovely garden" wins for catchiest sign phrase.

london | hackney cafes
While living in Hackney, I've discovered an eclectic selection of cafes, shops and restaurants. These are a few cafes I've tried that are just a short walk from my flat. Sourdough with goat curd and honey, anyone?

Top Left: Charles Dickens lived in this house from 1837 until 1839 and wrote Oliver Twist and Nicholas Nickleby while living here. It is in the heart of Bloomsbury and is Charles Dickens’s only surviving London house. The other doors are located in Greenwich.
